“My goal has always been to help my patients get back to a life without pain. Stem cell therapy is doing that in ways that was only dreamed of with traditional medicine .”

Dr. Pinkerton is a Nebraska native, growing up in North Platte, located in the sand hills country of western Nebraska, where his father was a small-town general practitioner.

Dr. Pinkerton graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical College, followed by an Anesthesia Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  After working in the field of Anesthesia for 11 years at Clarkson Hospital, doing everything from hearts to obstetrics, Dr. Pinkerton returned to Vanderbilt for a Pain Management Fellowship.

This training has prepared Dr. Pinkerton for a career specializing in the treatment of pain.  His holistic approach to pain management includes injections, physical therapy, and appropriate use of medications.  His goal has always been to help patients get back to living an active life.

Dr. Pinkerton works alongside his wife of 44 years, Tess, who is a licensed counselor.  They have raised five children and enjoy their new little grandson.  He and his wife enjoy bicycling, walking, traveling, and most of all time with their family.  Dr. Pinkerton enjoys all kinds of music, but especially Christian, hunting, nature, wood- working, golf and a good cup of coffee.
