Stem Cell Therapy for Hips

Are you struggling with chronic hip pain or stiffness that limits your mobility and quality of life? At Kansas Regenerative Medicine Center (KRMC), we offer innovative stem cell therapy for hip conditions using your body’s own healing potential. This non-surgical alternative may help reduce discomfort and improve joint function—especially for those with arthritis or other degenerative hip disorders.

A Natural Approach to Hip Pain Relief

Unlike traditional surgery or ongoing cortisone injections, stem cell therapy for hips is designed to target the root cause of joint discomfort by harnessing autologous stem cells—cells harvested from your own adipose (fat) tissue. These cells are then processed and precisely injected into the affected area to potentially support natural healing and tissue regeneration.

Many of our patients come to us looking for:

  • Relief from hip osteoarthritis symptoms
  • Alternatives to hip replacement surgery
  • Faster recovery times and less downtime
  • Long-term improvement in function and mobility

While results can vary, several patients have reported reduced pain and increased range of motion after treatment.

Common Conditions We Treat

Stem cell therapy at KRMC may benefit patients experiencing a variety of hip-related issues, including:

  • Hip osteoarthritis
  • Labral tears
  • Tendonitis
  • Bursitis
  • Cartilage degeneration
  • Post-injury joint inflammation

We use advanced imaging and physician-guided techniques to ensure precise placement of stem cells where they are most needed.

What to Expect From the Procedure

Stem cell therapy at KRMC is a same-day, outpatient procedure. Most patients can return to their normal routine within a few days.

Here’s what the general process involves:

  • Initial consultation and imaging review to assess if you're a good candidate
  • Harvesting of stem cells from a small amount of fat via a minimally invasive liposuction procedure
  • Processing of the stem cells using sterile lab-grade equipment right in our clinic
  • Targeted injection of the concentrated stem cells into the affected hip area
  • Follow-up appointments to monitor progress and provide supportive care

  • Arthritis
  • Osteonecrosis
  • Bursitis
  • Tendinopathy
  • Labral Injuries

By deploying your own stem cells into the affected area, the therapy promotes healing, reduces inflammation, and accelerates tissue repair.

Stem cells are collected from your fat or bone marrow, processed, and then injected into the hip using advanced imaging for precise delivery.

Most patients experience minimal downtime and can return to work the next day.

Stem cell therapy offers a non-invasive alternative that may reduce or eliminate the need for surgical intervention in some cases.

The Stem Cell Therapy Process

1

Initial consultation

Our expert physicians will meet with you by phone or in-person to review your medical history and will determine if you’re a good candidate for stem cell therapy. If we agree stem cell therapy can help, we’ll schedule your first appointment in our offices in either Kansas City or Manhattan, Kansas.

Treatment

In most cases our outpatient treatment takes four hours and is nearly pain free. You do not have to “go under.” On the day of your procedure, our physicians will collect stem cells using only local anesthesia - Fat is obtained from the low back or abdomen, bone marrow is obtained from the back part of the hip. After stem cell collection, you will relax in a private room. Once processed, your stem cells will be injected into the area of need using a highly sophisticated ultrasound instrument with enhanced needle visualization for precise delivery of your stem cells. We use a C-ARM for back injections. Fluroscopy is an imaging technique that uses X-RAYS to obtain real time moving images of the interior of an object. In some cases, we also administer an IV of your stem cells during treatment to further enhance your body’s natural healing process.

Physical Therapy - KRMC has partnered with several physical therapist providers specifically trained in therapy following regenerative treatments. The combination of regenerative medicine and physical therapy to correct biomechanical imbalances offers patients an empowering way to take control of their lives.

Our medical staff will remain in touch with you during your recovery process to answer questions.

Payment Options

Patients who are considered to be candidates will be invited for a consultation with one of our panel physicians completely free of charge. Treatment cost varies depending on the disease state being treated and which type of stem cell deployment is required. To apply for medical financing, visit Bank of the Flint Hills.
