Stem Cell Technician

Full-time opportunity for Stem Cell Technician:

The procedures performed at Kansas Regenerative Medicine Center involves preparing and processing Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) for autologous stem cell therapy.

The Stem Cell Technician will perform multiple and varied tasks critical to the management of this patient-funded research procedure and data collection. The Stem Cell Technician is expected to adhere to institutional and other applicable regulations. The Stem Cell Technician must ensure compliance with protocol guidelines and monitor patient progress.

Qualifications/Job Duties:

  • Successful completion of a formal medical/clinical educational program or in the alternative a strong knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to learn quickly (i.e. CNA, CMA, LPN, MT/MLS, CST, RRT).
  • Clinical experience involving patient care in a healthcare environment is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to learn to prepare and process Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF), unassisted, for physician deployment.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain the sterile procedural field, assembling the necessary instruments and supplies, and assist the physician as needed.
  • Ability to draw blood, after administering an IV to the patient, for processing. Phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate medical equipment including centrifuge, incubator, sterilizer, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.
  • Ability to work with a variety of physicians and adapt appropriately to each individual style, acting on verbal and non-verbal directions.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong time-management skills.
  • Exceptional listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Calm, friendly, approachable, and presents a professional image.
  • Committed, highly energetic, self-motivated, and highly organized.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in office equipment including (but not limited to) copy machines, facsimile machines, multi-line telephones, and computers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Entering patient information into the Electronic Medical Record system and scanning documents.
  • Answering incoming phone calls and replying to basic questions on stem cell therapy and other caller concerns and questions.

Open to considering all experience levels. Clinics located in Manhattan and Overland Park, KS. Travel required. You will need to work approximately 5-6 days a month in Overland Park, KS. Our company provides a rental car, hotel lodging (if needed) and paid meals. All clinics are state-of-the-art medical facilities.

Salary: $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
