Where Stem Cells are Collected

Where does Kansas Regenerative Medicine Center collect stem cells from?

Kansas Regenerative Medicine Center's Stem Cell Collection Process

At the Kansas Regenerative Medicine Center, we specialize in harnessing the potential of adult stem cells, the intrinsic building blocks residing within various tissues of the human body. Our focus primarily centers around bone-marrow-derived stem cells, scientifically recognized as "mesenchymal stem cells." Originating from the mesodermal section of the body, encompassing bone, cartilage, muscle, heart, blood, blood vessels, and connective tissues, these cells exhibit the remarkable ability to differentiate into a range of mesodermal elements, including fat, connective tissue, blood vessels, muscle, and nerve tissue.

Where KRMC collects stem cells from

Recent advancements in technology have empowered us to extract adult stem cells from fat deposits. Our cutting-edge procedure involves the collection and immediate deployment of these stem cells during the same minimally invasive session. Conducted by our highly trained physicians in our specialized treatment facility, patients undergo a procedure similar to liposuction or bone marrow aspiration, lasting approximately 30 minutes and performed under local anesthesia. Following collection, cells undergo rapid processing and are ready for deployment within 90 minutes.

It's important to note that our approach exclusively involves using an individual's own stem cells. These cells, collected from each patient, are reintroduced into their own body, ensuring a personalized and safe regenerative process.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

We specialize in mesenchymal stem cells, also known as "adult stem cells," which possess the capacity to differentiate into various mesodermal elements.

Adult stem cells are derived from both bone marrow and fat, highlighting the versatility of our approach. The stem cell collection procedure is minimally invasive, involving techniques similar to liposuction or bone marrow aspiration.
